Dot Com Infoway recently conducted a recruitment drive at Lady Doak College and recruited 6 students for its various departments.
As curtain closes down on recruitment drives, and cut-backs, lay-offs and restructures cloud the corporate territory, very few companies really take up the challenge of building their workforces and increasing their staffing initiatives. Dot Com Infoway, always unique in action and ideology, has been taking a series of recruitment initiatives lately despite the industry downturns. Its recent campus drive was at Lady Doak College, one of Madurai's premier women's educational institutions with a genesis -history that dates back to 1948.
The campus drive program was a remarkable success, marked by the participation of about a hundred young graduates. Though the recruitment process comprised of the usual group discussions, personal interviews and aptitude tests, the Human Resources team of the company avoided clichés by adopting a creative and innovative approach to the talent-hunt. Candidates were also measured along lines of their interest in information technology, communicative abilities and academic profiles.
The company has recruited 6 candidates for many of its departments. The selected candidates will be joining Dot Com Infoway's Madurai office soon.
As Dot Com Infoway's MD and CEO Mr. C.R.Venkatesh opines, resource-pooling is not just a means of strengthening or stabilizing the workforce of the company, but also a preparation for meeting future requirements. This staffing initiative is of significance as it comes in the wake of the company's plans to expand globally.
